To Our Students, Scholars and Athletes,
There was a time that our institutions were all that we had; the only places we could get a higher education. Like everything else, they were born from a long, hard fight by many for us to have the right to learn. But at some point, we allowed them to become less of a priority...an afterthought. Many of our students decided to go to other institutions, which helped make and keep them as "brand names". Now, more than ever, it is clear that we must stand on the foundations others fought to establish long ago. Our schools are in and a part of our communities, and we must strengthen them, because they are OURS and no one else will. Consider the power and influence that we possess and how it has been used elsewhere. We have to recognize and understand that we have everything to make brands of our own; to compete with any others on any level. But we need you, all of you, to come home. JUST COME HOME.

SUPPORT
#JustComeHome is an initiative aiming to attract more African-American students back "home" to HBCUs; thereby, strengthening the academic and athletic prominence of HBCUs. The goal is to help increase enrollment by an average of 75% across all HBCUs by 2025.
PKC is championing the call to action for #JustComeHome and is seeking the support of community, parents, students and HBCU supporters. This is a critical movement which can and will dramatically change the recognition and competitiveness of HBCUs in the world.
